The main (aim) of the Route to Santiago is to reach the Catedral of Compostela and venérate the Apostle. Oce this has been done, the Pilgrims get to enjoy one of the most important centres as far as sacred art is concerned, as wll as having accomplished his/her spiritual mission.
About us
The Tourist Hostel San José recently opened in 2010. It is run by the Vieito Fuentes brothers whose intention is to offer Pilgrims a comfortable and welcoming place to stop and rest when coming from Santiago on their way to Finisterre-Muxia and vice-versa. It is also suitable for tourists who wish to spend a few days relaxing near the Galician coast, contemplating and enjoying the endless landscapes, beaches, rivers monuments and delicious traditional food this region has to offer.
With 15 or 60 minutes in driving distance (either by bus or car), you will be able to visit the most renowned places around A Coruña, discovering its beautiful coastal and mountainous areas.
